Prof. Todor Uzunov is Professor and Head of the Department of Prosthetic Dental Medicine at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Medical University of Sofia, Bulgaria. He is a specialist in Prosthetic Dentistry and Dental Implantology and serves as a national expert in Prosthetic Dental Medicine.
With more than two decades of academic and clinical experience, Prof. Uzunov has authored and co-authored over 120 scientific publications, textbooks, and educational materials, and is a frequent speaker at national and international congresses.
His main professional interests include digital prosthodontics, implant-supported rehabilitation, CAD/CAM technologies, intraoral scanning, 3D printing, management of severe tooth wear, occlusion, and comprehensive oral rehabilitation.
Prof. Uzunov is actively involved in the implementation of digital workflows in contemporary dentistry, focusing on predictable functional and esthetic outcomes in complex restorative treatments.
Prof. Uzunov is a member of the lecturer team at the Updent Training Center, where he actively contributes to the education of dental professionals and shares his expertise in digital and prosthetic dentistry. Through his educational programs at Updent, he encourages the implementation of predictable and evidence-based clinical protocols in everyday dental practice.
